Art of Compassion is a Tibetan arts and culture tour created and managed by Lobsang Tsering in the year of 2000 and has brought Tibetan monks from the Gyumed Monastery in Southern India to United States and Russia to demonstrate the essence of Tibetan arts and culture.
During the tours, Lobsang exhibited Tibetan Arts by creating sand Mandela paintings and butter sculptures, arranged Tibetan cultural performances, introduced Tibetan medicines, and gave lectures about meditation, peace, and the Art of Compassion presentation. He also facilited celebrities as guest speakers such as Richard Gere and Robert Thurman to Tibet Festival 2004 in Russia to be part of the program. Lastly, the monks chanting concert for the universal purification was the most popular and successful event in Russia. One chanting event was held in Moscow during October, 2011; 1200 seats were sold out with rave reviews. Over five transformative years, Lobsang embarked with his monk and American friends on a journey that carried him across the continents, captivating audiences in the United States and Russia with his inspiring Sand Mandalas fundraising tour. He raised funds for over 500 monks in Gyudmed Monastery and Tibetan lay communities, India for health care and education. |
